Monitoring designed to flag unusual activity early.

  • Firewall and network protection

Firewall setup to help protect servers and hosting.

  • Data encryption

Encryption that helps keep your data confidential.

  • Security audits

Detailed checks to find and flag security gaps.

Who the cybersecurity service is for

Anyone online can be at risk, and that includes small businesses, freelancers and startups. If a team shares logins or skips updates, one careless click can cause real trouble.

It is being prepared for people who are securing a simple website or complex infrastructure.

The tools and technologies in the strip below are the ones named for this service. It has not launched yet, so they do not mean that monitoring or protection is running today.

What you can do today

Our cybersecurity service is not open yet, but our own guide, Small Business Cybersecurity Checklist, gives 10 practical steps you can start this week, and many of them need only a little time. Start with passwords and two-factor authentication, then move on to backups and updates. The steps are general advice, so adapt them to the way your own team works.

  • 1. Use strong, unique passwords

Stop reusing one password across many accounts. Use a reputable password manager so that nobody has to memorise dozens of logins.

  • 2. Turn on two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication asks for a second proof, such as a code on your phone, when you log in. As a result, a stolen password alone is not enough to get into your account. Switch it on wherever the service allows it.

  • 3. Back up your data and test it

Keep at least one copy somewhere separate from your main computer. Try restoring one file every month, because a backup that you have never tested may fail on the day you need it.

  • 4. Update your software and devices

Updates can fix security holes. Install updates for Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, your browser and your office software as soon as you can, and turn on automatic updates wherever the option exists.

  • 5. Learn to spot phishing emails and messages

Phishing messages try to rush you into clicking a link, opening a file or sharing a password. If something feels off, do not click or install anything. Open the website yourself or call the company on a number you already trust.

  • 6. Double-check invoices and payment requests

Before you pay, confirm any new account number by phoning the supplier on a number from your own records. Never rely on the phone number or reply address that appears in the suspicious message.

  • 7. Build safe payment habits

Never share an OTP, card PIN or UPI PIN with anyone, even if the caller says they work for your bank. Where possible, ask two people to approve large payments, so one mistake cannot empty the account.

  • 8. Teach your staff the basics

Spend a few minutes at your next meeting on strong passwords, phishing warning signs and who to tell when something looks wrong. Give each person access only to the files and tools their job needs.

  • 9. Cover your website security basics

Use a strong, unique admin password with two-factor authentication, and keep your website platform, themes and plugins up to date. Make sure your site loads over HTTPS and that you keep a recent backup of it.

  • 10. Make a simple plan for when things go wrong

Write down who to call, how to change key passwords quickly and how to contact your bank. If you suspect fraud, act quickly and contact your bank first, then report it to the national cybercrime helpline on 1930 or on the cybercrime.gov.in portal.
